Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is an extremely popular American after winning American Idol's debut season. It was not just a major success however, it also secured her a recording contract for numerous albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records. Since then she has recorded numerous studio albums. Three of which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart, while her other albums barely missed the coveted spot. She's among the most popular stars to come out from American Idol. As she achieved success she experimented with different genres and themes, frequently writing her own songs with her personal feelings. To acknowledge her talents and individuality, she has been rewarded with a variety of accolades and awards. Notably, she's received the Grammy Award a record three times. She also has been featured in film and television. She also wrote the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with various charitable organizations.
