Mena Alexandera Suvari, born in 1979 is a American model, actress and fashion designer. Born on 13 February 1979. Soon after her first job as a model she soon transitioned into acting after appearing as a guest on 90's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. She debuted in the film industry in the 1997 thriller film Nowhere. She made the transition to leading roles after her performances of American Beauty for which she received nominations for an BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered more attention. She was a co-star with co-stars in American Pie Jason Biggs in Loser (2000) in addition to playing the leading role for the film Sugar & Spice (2001). In 2002, she appeared in Spun the independent drama and in 2004's thriller, Trauma. Also, she starred in HBO the drama Six Feet Under. The drama aired on the air in 2004. In 2008 she was cast in a string of films which included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is the model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads of Lancome Paris Adaptive also is featured in a variety of fashion-related blogs as well as magazines such as Vogue. She is a strong supporter and advocate of the African Medical and Research Foundation which is a well-known charity that offers relief to Africa.
