Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Roberts is part of four generations of the Robertses to live in the Atlanta region, beginning with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. At an early age, her father was interested in theatre. As an undergraduate at Emory University, he performed on stage in a number of shows in Atlanta. In 1953, he joined the Air Force, and was stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he acted in a production with Betty Lou Bredemus. Both married in 2005 and welcomed their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. In 1957 the couple left the Air Force and Walter began his studies in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter became a member of Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio when the family relocated from Atlanta to Decatur in Georgia in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of a children's Sunday matinee show called Bum Bum and His Buddies. In the following year, they established The Actors and Writers Workshop which operated for six years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also known as Lisa) and Julia (also also known as Julie) in this time.
